Rebecca Davy, Organist & Choir Director Biography
A native of Washington State, she completed her Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance at the University of Puget Sound under Edward Hansen. While an organ student of Ladd Thomas, she earned two masters degrees from the University of Southern California, in organ performance and music history, and completed additional theory and history studies, concentrating on early 20th-century music.  Organ lessons under Robert Kee began at age 10, and by age 11, Mrs. Davy was playing for services in her home church.  She has concertized widely during her career and now plays more than thirty organ and harpsichord Candlelight Concerts at Bruton Parish each year.  Davy additionally oversees the Wren Chapel historic organ concert series, playing for most of those performances.  She is the director of the Williamsburg Women’s Chorus and a frequent accompanist for local choirs.
