The next offering in the Peter Pelham Concert Series is Les deux Clavecins: 20th Anniversary Dinner & Concert on Saturday, March 24 (6:00 p.m. dinner; 8:00 p.m. concert). This is a premiere of commissioned work by Christopher Cook, with Thomas Marshall and Allen Shaffer, Harpsichordists. Some of the pieces which will be played are: Pieces for Two Harpsichords by Francois Couperin; Portales (2000) by Pamela Decker; Notalgie (World Premiere) by Christopher Cook; and Concerto in C Major for Two Solo Harpsichords, BWV 1061 by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Dinner celebrating the arrival of spring will be held in the Parish House at 6:00 p.m. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a seasonal variety of hors d'ouevres. At the table, we'll begin with a spring salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing, potato crusted fillet of fish with fresh herbs and a lemon buerre blank sauce, spring vegetable medley and rice pilaf, and a chocolate delight with seasonal fruit for dessert. For those who do not want fish, chicken will be available. Wine, sparkling cider and other beverages!
