Shop Volunteers Needed

The Bruton Parish Shop has provided parishioners, local residents, and visitors with wonderful shopping opportunities since 1995.  For greeting cards, there is no better value, both for price and quality of greeting, than at the Shop.  A wide array of gifts are sold, perfect for that hostess gift, a new neighbor moving in, a new baby, a birthday, or simply an occasion to say "thank you."  The Shop has a nice selection of books with spiritual themes, from the Prayer Book to a history of Bruton, to books geared toward younger children. You will not find better prices.  We hope that you will all shop with us!

We are at a crossroads at this time.  While many of you have volunteered for many years, we need new people to step forward to volunteer to staff the Shop for a four-hour shift several times each month. A couple could work together on the same shift or in tandem (one person one week, the other the next week). This opportunity is not limited to women – men are needed as volunteers and can be especially valuable in advising some of our customers. Won't you give this consideration?  Please contact Lois Polifka (757-220-1003 or email shopscheduler@brutonparish.org) to let her know your interest.

We also need many volunteers for the Christmas Parlor. This is a fun assignment, as the Christmas Parlor is always brimming with wonderful, tasteful Christmas decorations.  We hope that you will consider this possibility as well.  Please call Laura Paolicelli, Shop Assistant (757-220-1489) to let her know of your interest or complete and return the registration form (click here) to the Shop.
