Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for FISH

Bruton's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting the FISH Food Pantry will soon be underway. Our youth assembled the bags for the food drive during their monthly gathering on October 15. Bags will be made available to parishioners before and after services beginning Sunday, November 5.
Parishioners are asked to fill one or more bags with non-perishable food items. Please do not over fill, use multiple bags instead. Donations should be brought to the Thanksgiving Eve service at 6pm on Wednesday, November 22, to receive a blessing before being delivered to FISH.  If you cannot attend the November 22 service, please bring your donation to the Parish House prior to Thanksgiving.
Volunteers of all ages are needed at 8:30am on Friday, November 24, to transport the donations to FISH and help stock the pantry shelves.  We anticipate hundreds of bags this year, requiring people-power and vehicles, so please plan to join us at the Parish House at 8:30am on the morning of the 24th. If you can volunteer to help on Friday, please contact Megan Watson at thanksgiving@brutonparish.org. Let's thank God for our blessings and bless others by donating food to FISH.
