Christian Basics: A Class for New and Old Episcopalians

For those seeking to join the Church or wishing to renew their commitment to Christ and his Church, our adult class will be held from 2-3pm on Sundays beginning March 3 and will continue each Sunday at that time with the final class on April 14. We will work through biblical basics, liturgy and the Book of Common Prayer, Anglicanism, prayer and discipleship, and more. The class is required for those wanting to receive baptism, confirmation, reaffirmation, or reception into the Episcopal Church, but all are welcome to join in the conversation and learning. Adults will be baptized at the Great Vigil of Easter on Saturday, April 20. Bishop Jay Magness will be visiting to confirm, reaffirm, and receive adults on Pentecost Sunday, June 9. To sign up, email Christine Britton at cbritton@brutonparish.org or call her at 757-229-2891. The class will take place in the Parish House with the exact location to be determined based on enrollment.
