Youth Formation for the Month
Sunday, April 30
Sunday School will be held in the Custis House at 10:30am, and Choir Rehearsal at 11am.

Saturday, May 6
All 8th graders are invited to join Meghan Brewer and Father Josh at GoKarts Plus on Richmond Road to celebrate their final days before becoming high schoolers! Meet us at the Parish House at 4:45pm, and we’ll return by 8:30pm.  If you are an 8th grader, please let us know by Monday, May 1, if you are able to join us.   

Sunday, May 7
Sunday School and Choir Rehearsal will be held this day (this is the final choir rehearsal for the year).

Sunday, May 14
Don’t forget it’s Mothers Day!  Our children and youth choirs will sing at the “big” church during the 9:15am service.  Sunday School will be held.

Sunday, May 21: Appreciation Day
Children’s Church will not be held as we will be in the “big” church to celebrate our Sunday School Teachers, Nursery staff, Choir Teachers and Acolyte Coordinators. We will also take this time to honor our senior acolytes. Plan to attend!

Re-Creation at Freedom Park with Go Ape
The afternoon of Sunday, May 21, all children and youth are invited to encounter God in creation. Middle and high schoolers meet at 12:45 at Freedom Park (Longhill Road) for an awesome ropes course (cost per youth is $20 with Bruton covering another $35). Cook out will follow at 2:30pm. Parents and children 5th grade and younger are invited for the cook out at 2:30pm, and all children at least 3'3" tall are invited for a junior tree top adventure starting at 3:45. Cost is $10 per child, with Bruton covering $15 each. RSVPs and payment are required by May 14th for participation in Go Ape Tree Top Adventures. Youth Mission Trip to Georgia
This summer our youth are off to the Appalachian Mountains of Georgia from June 18-26. We will be headed to the Craddock Center to spend time with children in local areas who are in need of  recreation, stories, games and fun.  All middle and high schoolers are invited, but sign ups are due May 1. Vacation Bible School: Glow With Jesus - Let Your Light Shine
Save the dates for Vacation Bible School which will be held here at Bruton Parish this year from August 7-11 from 9am to 12pm.  Registration will open soon, so keep your eyes peeled! We’ll need lots of hands to help out, so if you can volunteer during this week of important info for your child(ren), contact Meghan Brewer at 757-345-6489.
