Bruton to Build Another Habitat House

A crowd of over 50 people gathered in Grove for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Habitat House which Bruton Parish is helping to build for the Fletcher Family.  Our rector, Chris Epperson, was one of the speakers at the ceremony and spoke about the importance of having people of many backgrounds working together to make the world a better place.  The people who attended the event represented many local churches as well as other groups from the Williamsburg area.
The needed permits have just been received and the clearing of the lot for the Fletcher House will probably happen in mid-September.  After that, the footings and foundation will be installed with our volunteer work starting at the beginning of October.  We plan to have the house completed in time for the Fletchers to spend Christmas there.  As soon as we receive information about the work days, we will use the Bruton Bytes and The Chronicle as well as the Sunday bulletin to let you know how to sign up.  We hope to have many Brutonians helping with this great project.
