Christian Formation for Children
Welcome to the 2012-2013 program year at Bruton Parish! Sunday mornings are going to look a bit different this year, and we are excited to share with you what we have to offer children and youth.
Nursery
A nursery is provided at the Parish House for newborns through 4-year olds from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. every Sunday.
Children’s Church
While children are always welcome in church, we are also offering an age-appropriate Liturgy of the Word for children (kindergarden through 5th grade) in St. Mary’s Chapel from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. Parents may drop children off at St. Mary’s Chapel in the Parish House at 9:00 a.m. for this service of story and song through which they will engage the scripture for the day. Children will be escorted to the church to join their families at The Peace for Eucharist.
Sunday Morning Christian Formation
Classes will be held for all ages from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The eight-week Fall semester begins September 30 and ends November 18. Intergenerational classes will be offered during Advent and January. The seven-week Winter term begins February 3 and ends March 17.
Spring classes run for five weeks, from April 14 through May 12. (Classes for adults will be offered during the same time periods.)
During the second half of the program year, a class to prepare for confirmation will be offered for those (16 and older) interested in being confirmed.
Parents on our email contact list will receive regular electronic updates about the upcoming schedule, opportunities, and events. If you’re not on our email list, please let us know so we can include you.

Children’s Church is an age-appropriate worship service held at 9:15 a.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel, tailored for children K-5th grade. Children meet their families in the church at The Peace to take communion.
Sundays, April 14, 21 & 28
Sunday School is held at 10:30 a.m. either in the Parish House for kindergarten through 5th grade or in the Custis House for 6th through 12th grades.
Sundays, April 7, 14, 21 & 28
Joyful Noise & Choristers, our youth choirs, rehearse in the Choir Room of the Parish House every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Please call if your child(ren) would like to join.

Sunday, April 14:
Sunday School & Youth Confirmation Class at 10:30 a.m. in the Custis House, and Youth Group at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish House.
Sunday, April 21:
Sunday School & Youth Confirmation Class at 10:30 a.m. in the Custis House, and Youth Group at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish House.
Sunday, April 28:
Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. in the Custis House, and Youth Group at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish House.

This session of Sunday School concludes May 12th. Sunday School is held at 10:30 a.m. either in the Parish House for kindergarten through 5th grade or in the Custis House for 6th through 12th grades.
Sundays, May 5 & 12
Joyful Noise & Choristers, our youth choirs, rehearse in the Choir Room of the Parish House every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Please call if your child(ren) would like to join. Their program season will end May 12th with their singing during the 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. service. Come hear them sing!

Sunday School Teacher Appreciation will be held during the 9:15 a.m. service. Please join us at the church!
YOUTH FORMATION
Sunday, May 5 & 19
Youth Group will begin in the Parish House with dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by program until 8:00 p.m.
