Formation for Children through 5th Grade

Nursery is available each Sunday for newborns through 4-year-olds on the first floor of the Parish House from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Children’s Church is age-appropriate worship held at 9:15 am in St. Mary’s Chapel, tailored for children K-5th grade. Drop off your child(ren) at 9 am, then head to the church and save your child a seat, as they’ll join the congregation at the Peace.

Sunday School: Children K-5th grade Sunday School starts immediately after the 9:15 church service. Kids of that age who are in church for our 9:15 service meet in the church tower after Communion to walk down to the Parish House (located 1.5 blocks down Duke of Gloucester Street) with Meghan Brewer. The classes meet from 10:20-11:05am upstairs, followed by choir at 11:15am for K-3rd grade (see below).

Joyful Noise, our children’s choir, rehearses at 11:15-11:45am each Sunday, and our Chorister Choir for older children and youth, rehearse on Sundays at 6pm.

Please see the monthly schedule(s) below for what children and youth programming is being held at this time.  If you have any questions, please contact Meghan Brewer, Coordinator for Children & Youth Ministry, at mbrewer@brutonparish.org.

Vacation Bible School
VBS will be held August 3-7 here at Bruton this year! The theme is Knights of North Castle! We invite our children to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Kids will take on the role of brave knight and begin their quest each session by opening the King's Book.  We'll explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of protective armor: the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters. We will explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God.  We will need ALL youth and adults who are available and willing to help make this a successful week for our children at Bruton, as well as our other local churches of St. Martin's and Hickory Neck. Click HERE for more information and the registration form which is due by Friday, July 31st.
