Formation for Children through 5th Grade

Nursery is available each Sunday for newborns through 4-year-olds on the first floor of the Parish House from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Children’s Church is age-appropriate worship held at 9:15 am in St. Mary’s Chapel, tailored for children K-5th grade. Drop off your child(ren) at 9 am, then head to the church and save your child a seat, as they’ll join the congregation at the Peace. We will continue holding an age-appropriate service for 3-4 year olds in the room next to the nursery in the Parish House during this timeframe.

Sunday School: Children K-5th grade Sunday School starts immediately after the 9:15 church service. Kids of that age who are in church for our 9:15 service meet in the church tower after Communion to walk down to the Parish House (located 1.5 blocks down Duke of Gloucester St) with Meghan. The classes meets from 10:20-11:05 upstairs, followed by choir at 11:10.

Joyful Noise & Choristers, our children’s and youth choirs, rehearse at 11:10am each Sunday unless there is no Sunday School (then they meet at 10:30am).

Please see the monthly schedule(s) below for what children and youth programming is being held at this time.  If you have any questions, please contact The Rev'd Josh Stephens, Associate Rector for Family Ministry, at jstephens@brutonparish.org or Meghan Brewer, Coordinator for Children & Youth Ministry, at mbrewer@brutonparish.org.

Children's Formation for the Month
Wednesdays, September 11, 18 & 25 - Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners
Our Chorister Choirs for youth grades 3-8 will begin on Wednesdays in the Parish House choir room at 4:30pm, followed by the opportunity to join with our other choirs for dinner at 5:15pm. Please watch for more information coming soon!

We are reviving the Wednesday Fellowship Dinners at 5:15pm beginning September 11! These dinners are especially meant for Choristers, their parents, adult choir members, and any other parishioners. In years past, there was a neat tradition of choir members, both kids and adults, eating and singing together on Wednesdays. Parents found it to be a fun time, and it was helpful to have one less meal to coordinate. Meals will be catered, so stay tuned for rsvp information, cost, etc.
RSVPs will be required by the Monday before the dinner so that we can have a proper headcount for ordering. Watch the Bruton Bytes and Sunday bulletins for more information about cost, details, etc.

Youth Fundraiser during Occasion of the Arts
Please come to the Parish House to support a youth fundraising effort to raise money for upcoming mission trips.  Join us in the Parish House on Saturday, October 5, from 11am to 6pm and on Sunday, October 6, from 11am to 6pm.  We’ll be selling hotdogs, hamburgers, and other delicious concessions during this big weekend in the community.  If you can help in any way, please contact Meghan Brewer as soon as possible. Besides the book sale over the Labor Day weekend to benefit youth pilgrimage and mission, this will be our biggest fundraiser during this program year. If you’re a parishioner of any age and are willing to help us flip burgers and more, all you need to bring is your apron and spatula for a fun time!
