Bruton Parish Church

Through Time

The present Church has been in use since 1715, but the parish has a much longer history. Our history includes the Church of England, the Reformation, Jamestown, the Great Awakening; as well as well-known people including Royal Governors, members of the Governor’s Council, members of the House of Burgesses, residents of Williamsburg, students from William and Mary, and the many rectors of this church.

Click here to view videos that will explain items in the church and churchyard as well as the practices of the Church of England and the Episcopal Church. They will also introduce you to some of the many people who have attended this church through the years.
